Consider tile size based on space: smaller tiles reduce wastage but increase grout lines for a detailed look, while larger tiles mean fewer tiles, less grout, and a cleaner appearance. Avoid using very large tiles in small spaces to prevent wastage.

The tile size for a space depends on the space itself. Common floor tile sizes include 300x600mm, 600x600mm, and 800x800mm, while popular wall tile sizes are 600x600mm, 300x300mm, 250x375mm, 800x800mm, 200x300mm, and 400x400mm.

To calculate the number of tiles needed for a space:

1. Measure the area.

2. Add 10-20% for wastage.

3. Divide by tile size. 

Glossy tiles brighten dark spaces by reflecting light, while matte tiles provide better grip for wet areas like bathrooms and balconies.

The number of tiles in a box depends on your choice. For 2x2 or 600x600mm tiles, most boxes contain 4 each.
